Science 8- Mr. Nathan Fields

Hello! I'm Mr. Fields, and I’m thrilled to start the year with you at EMS!

I hold a degree in Biology from the University of Illinois and an MBA from Southern Illinois University. After spending 20 years as a leader in the science and sustainability efforts serving the agricultural, technology, and biotechnology industries, I’ve decided to follow in the footsteps of my parents—both lifelong educators in Hazelwood and Ferguson-Florissant—and transition into teaching in the place where I'm from. 

This year, I’ll be guiding our amazing scholars through their final year before high school, and I couldn’t be more excited. I’m passionate about bringing real-world science and business experience into the classroom to inspire curiosity, creativity, and confidence in learning.

Outside of school, I’m a proud dad of three high schoolers, and I love to hit the cycling trails whenever I can. I believe in the power of teaching to foster responsibility, independence, and a love of learning—and I can’t wait to share that with my students this year!
