Science 8- Mr. Nathan Fields

Mr. Fields is thrilled to begin the year at EMS. He holds a degree in Biology from the University of Illinois and an MBA from Southern Illinois University. After 20 years leading science and sustainability efforts in the agricultural, technology, and biotechnology industries, he chose to follow his parents’ example—both lifelong educators in Hazelwood and Ferguson‑Florissant—and transition into teaching in his hometown.

This year he will guide scholars through their final year before high school, bringing real‑world science and business experience to inspire curiosity, creativity, and confidence. Outside of school, he is a proud father of three high‑schoolers and enjoys cycling on local trails. He believes teaching fosters responsibility, independence, and a lasting love of learning.
